Welcome to chhsoftware.com, the home of standalone and add-on software tools provided by Carter Holt Harvey Woodproducts. These software tools are made available for download at no charge to assist in the design, take-off and construction of timber based structures using products supplied by CHH Woodproducts New Zealand and Australia.

We have a specialist team of software developers and timber engineers that work on our own software, such as designIT, and also contract third party suppliers to develop tools for specialist applications, such as Layup.

The following tools are made available for public use.

designIT is a software tool for all building practitioners for the design of Carter Holt Harvey's Engineered Wood Products range and other selected materials for floor, roof and wall framing in houses and similar structures. Quick and simple to use yet deceptively powerful software, designIT is useful for the selection of beam sizes without the need for engineering knowledge or the exercise of professional engineering judgement.		Carter Holt Harvey have developed smart phone Apps to aid with the specification and use of their products. Layup is an ArchiCAD add-on (available for most recent versions) developed to aid specifiers in the fast and simple production of joist and rafter layouts. It is one of the integral design components of the Superior Performance Flooring System, FLOORSUITE. Once the layout is drawn up a simple click of the mouse will label, calculate and produce a schedule of quantities to be used by merchants making ordering and delivery of components a breeze.
